Where to take the ferry from Brač to Hvar

Ferries to Hvar depart from 2 ports in Brač: Bol and Milna.

• Bol is located on the south side of Brač, with the ferry terminal being on the waterfront at Riva. The port is in the center of town, within walking distance of restaurants, cafés, shops, ATMs, accommodations, and the local bus station.
• The port of Milna is on the western shores of Brač and in the center of town. As the port is directly beside Milna’s waterfront promenade, you can easily reach it on foot from most central accommodations.

How to get to the port of Brač?

Getting to the port of Bol

• On foot: the catamaran quay is in central Bol, next to the waterfront promenade. The bus station, cafés, restaurants, shops, ticket services, and ATMs are all within a short walk.
• By car: follow the island road toward central Bol and the waterfront. As the ferry to Hvar is for foot passengers, you need to leave your vehicle in Bol. Parking near the center can be limited during the summer, so allow extra time to find a space.
• By bus: Arriva operates several daily buses between Supetar and Bol, with the ride generally taking around 1 hr, depending on the route and summer traffic. Bol Bus Station is located in the port area.
• By taxi: taxis are available from Brač Airport, Supetar, Sumartin, and other locations on the island.
• From Brač Airport: the airport is around a 10-min drive from Bol. Taxis are the most practical option, as there is no direct airport bus to the ferry quay.

Getting to the port of Milna

• On foot: Milna’s catamaran quay is on the waterfront in the center of town, close to cafés, restaurants, accommodations, shops, and marina services.
• By car: from Supetar, follow the D114 road west toward Sutivan and Milna. Since vehicles are not carried on the Milna-Hvar catamarans, you need to park before boarding. There are spaces around town, but parking close to the waterfront is limited in peak season.
• By bus: Milna and Supetar are connected by daily Arriva buses throughout the year, with additional services during the summer. The journey covers around 20 km and normally takes about 30 min.
• By taxi: taxis can take you to Milna from Supetar, Bol, Brač Airport, or other island settlements. Booking ahead is recommended in July and August.
• From Brač Airport: the airport is on the opposite side of the island, and the drive to Milna takes approximately 45 min. A taxi or rental car is the simplest option.

• Hvar Town is the capital of the island, with the port being in the southeastern part of the harbor, directly beside the historic center.
